Grief is a distressing and powerful emotion that we all experience when we lose someone close to us. Grief can often feel overwhelming and we may feel and act in ways different to how we normally would. If you feel you or a friend needs support with dealing with grief, please fil in a SHARP report and we will be in touch.

Woodside Bereavement Service supports children, young people and adults in Croydon and nearby areas after someone close to them has died.

They do this by providing trained volunteers who spend time with people who have lost someone important, talking with them about what has happened and working with them to find ways in which they may start to come to terms with their loss.

Their service is completely free and totally private.

They have a specific young person section on their website where you'll find lots of helpful advice and information about coping when someone you care about has died, including:

  • What is grief?
  • Looking after yourself
